Building Wealth Routines

Updated: Mar 8

Taking care of yourself doesn’t have to be hard. A wellness routine is all about making simple habits that help you feel better in your body, mind, and emotions. If you’re not sure how to start, this guide will show you step by step how to build a routine that works for you.

What Is a Wellness Routine?

A wellness routine is a set of habits that keep you healthy and happy. It can include:

• Eating better foods.

• Moving your body.

• Taking care of your emotions.

• Getting enough rest.

It’s not about being perfect—it’s about feeling good and finding balance.

Step 1: Choose Your Goals

Start by asking yourself: How do I want to feel? Do you want more energy? Less stress? Better sleep? Pick one or two goals to focus on first.

Examples:

• Drink more water every day.

• Take a walk three times a week.

• Spend time relaxing your mind.

Step 2: Start Small

Big changes can feel overwhelming, so start small. Choose one simple thing to work on. For example:

• Replace one soda with water.

• Stretch for 5 minutes in the morning.

• Go to bed 15 minutes earlier.

Small changes are easier to stick to, and they build up over time.

Step 3: Create a Morning and Night Routine

Your mornings and evenings are great times to focus on wellness.

Morning Ideas:

• Drink a glass of water when you wake up.

• Do a few light stretches or yoga moves.

• Enjoy a warm cup of tea with honey and lemon.

Evening Ideas:

• Write down 3 things you’re thankful for.

• Take a warm shower to relax.

• Turn off your phone 30 minutes before bed.

Step 4: Move Your Body

Exercise doesn’t have to be hard or boring. Find something fun, like dancing, walking, or riding a bike. Try to move for 30 minutes most days. If that feels like too much, start with 10 minutes and build up.

Step 5: Eat to Feel Good

Healthy eating doesn’t mean you have to give up all your favorite foods. Focus on adding more:

• Fruits and vegetables.

• Lean proteins, like chicken or fish.

• Healthy fats, like avocados or nuts.

Start small—try adding a fruit to breakfast or swapping chips for nuts.

Step 6: Make Time for Self-Care

Self-care helps you feel calm and happy. This could be:

• Starting a skin care routine.

• Spending time in prayer.

• Seeking God in his word.

Do something just for you every day, even if it’s only for 5–10 minutes.

Step 7: Be Consistent, but Flexible

The most important part of a wellness routine is sticking to it. But remember, it’s okay to miss a day or change things up if needed. Don’t be hard on yourself—just keep going.

You Can Do This

Building a wellness routine takes time, but it’s worth it. Start small, stay consistent, and remember—it’s all about taking care of YOU.
